Christmas Eve Educational Meeting 20/12/2011

We had our last educational meeting of 2011 at Premier Hotel last night. We were honored by the attendance of Toastmasters International President-elect Mr. John Lau.

Our TM Eric Lau is now a CC after he gave his last project for the Competent Competitor and we witnessed our brave newcomer William gave his maiden speech with his Ice Breaker. It was also our VPE's early birthday and everyone had a hunky-dory (adj.) night. Merry Christmas and happy new year!

Christmas Gathering 2011

All the Toastmasters clubs in Sibu (Sibu, Swancity, Mandarin, Pan Chen Lau, Mingchiang and the new Pidato) gathered together for a Christmas dinner at Tanahmas Hotel for some fun and merry making. Indeed everyone had a good time. Congratulations to the OC Ho Mei Ling from Swancity for organizing this event.

TLI Round 2

Fellow Sibu Toastmasters and sister clubs including from Miri gathered at Paramount Hotel on Sunday, 17 December for the Toastmasters Leadership Institute Round 2 training. This training was conducted to help all clubs to help manage their clubs efficiently.

Educational Meeting 29/12/2011

We had an amazing night with many fellow Toastmasters braving the rainy season to gather together for the last round of Toastmastering for November. We were entertained by the humour and table topic session. But the highlights were the manual speeches Zaiton conducted her project 'The Roast' by roasting the President Hisham, Kongngee shared his view on his presentation "Going Beyond Our Club" and Your Lordship David gave a mini speechcraft on how to use props. A real eye opener as he taught us on how to use props or visual aids in theory and practical. 

We look forward to more speechcrafts soon! Our next meeting is on the 20th December 2011, see you there!

15 Nov Educational Meeting

We welcomed our new member William to the STM family! We were also entertained by all the manual speakers such as Peter Lau's Recyling joke. Hahaha we should really have forced you to represent the club for Humour Speech contest IPP!

Halloween Nite

In conjunction with Halloween, STM organized a Halloween Nite special educational meeting where everyone came to share their scary and spooky stories. As demanded by some, we will organized similar nite again soon!

TI Nite 2011

To celebrate Toastmasters worldwide as well as its establishment, all toastmasters clubs in Sibu came togather to enjoy an evening of laughs and merry-making in the annual Toastmasters International Night or TI Nite. All the clubs; Sibu Toastmasters, Swancity, Sibu Mandarin and Pan Chen-Lau's Clan Association came to make the event even more livelier. Our Area Governor Lau Pick Tai also made a special announcement of the new club, Ming Chiang, which was established recently.
