Apart from the traditional toasting to the King and Toastmasters International, we conduct a live training ground for speakers of all levels to improve themselves.
All the speakers will be evaluated by peers who will help recommend on areas to improve such as body language, vocal varieties, speech organisation and many more. Of course you do not have to worry as everyone in Toastmasters are there to support and encourage growth.
To make things more interesting you are able to rise up the ranks of Toastmasters International from the Competent Communicator (CC) all the way to the highest Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). Sounds impossible? Have no fear, because in Sibu here alone we already have several DTMs. In Toastmasters we are all ready to take up the challenge to ever improve ourselves!
Educational Meetings
We have educational meetings every 1st and 3rd Tuesdays every month at Premier Hotel. Members of the public are welcomed to join and improve their communications skills!
Camaraderie and Special Outings
Dinners, karaokes, steamboats, etc. We'll be there to bond with fellow Toastmasters and guests and perhaps present a speech or two!
Contests
Contests are held regularly from club level to Sibu level and even the international level. Members are welcomed to participate in the various contests such as humorous speech, evaluation, table topics and more!
Distinguished Club
Sibu Toastmasters has been working hard on producing quality speakers and for that has been awarded the President's Distinguished Club, the highest club recognition, for two years in a row. More to come!
