Happy Chinese New Year 2012!

Sibu Toastmasters went bai nien or CNY open house of members celebrating the new year of the Water Dragon. A wet year indeed and despite the continuous pouring rain, we managed to visit many and had a quick visit at Sibu Area Governor's open house. Thanks to all who invited us and è°¢è°¢ for your hospitality!

First Educational Meeting of 2012

Happy new year! Selamat tahun baru and xi nien hao!

Sibu Toastmasters conducted its maiden educational meeting for the year 2012 on Tuesday 3rd of January at Premier Hotel, Sibu. Despite the crazy weather, horrible New Year traffic jam and contagious fever going around Sibu, it's good to see most of the members came to the meeting.

Apart from good ol' Table Topic and Humor session, we were also entertained by our own Master Balancer Allen who shared his knowledge on how to read palm, face, eyebrows and even the lips. We seriously learnt a lot and had a good laugh throughout the evening. Our next meeting is on the 17th of January 2012.

Alright Toastmasters buckle up! We have less than 10 more meetings before the term ends and we are targeting to get another 10 points Distinguished Club President award as what our IPP Peter KB Lau had achieved previously in his term. We're shifting full gear to present all our manual speeches of our respective programs. Jiayou!

Siong Boon cracking up for the Table Topic session.

Ing Kiiung, so focused on tackling his Table Topic issue.

Jefferson from Kapit talking about big things with his topic "Reward Comes to People Who Are Patient"

Jenny trying out Siong Boon's provocative topics.

Jenny with her impressive effort tackling the topic "Action Speaks Louder than Words"

 Why so serious? Haha

'Dato Sri' Tiong calmly presenting his Table Topic ideas.

Eva King IY Lau, with his solid arguments.

Zaiton as our ever-ready Toastmaster of the Evening.

 George kick-starting the Humor Session.

If I may use Internet trend, everyone was: 'LOLOLOLOLOL!"

Our special session for the evening, Palm and Face Reading by Allen.

 Master Balancer in action.

I hope everyone had a great night releasing happy hormones from all the laughs.

We heard complaints about the lack of ladies in the club. Well we have a lot of them but sadly it's the beginning of the year and they're handling kids at school and tuition.

Goat Farm Visit 2011

We traveled all the way out into the outskirts of Sibu to visit to TYC Goat & Livestock farm with fellow Toastmasters and families for a final outing for 2011. It was truly a rewarding trip despite the 3pm heat as our own lovely Yu Yee and husband as well as versatile Jason gave the tour around the farm. Yu Yee's farm operates solely on organic method free from any sorts of artificial chemicals. If you would like to know more do visit their Facebook page here.

Alright enough talking, enjoy the pics!

Waiting for everyone to arrive.
