Educational Meetings

We have educational meetings every 1st and 3rd Tuesdays every month at Premier Hotel. Members of the public are welcomed to join and improve their communications skills!

Camaraderie and Special Outings

Dinners, karaokes, steamboats, etc. We'll be there to bond with fellow Toastmasters and guests and perhaps present a speech or two!

Contests

Contests are held regularly from club level to Sibu level and even the international level. Members are welcomed to participate in the various contests such as humorous speech, evaluation, table topics and more!

Distinguished Club

Sibu Toastmasters has been working hard on producing quality speakers and for that has been awarded the President's Distinguished Club, the highest club recognition, for two years in a row. More to come!

New Members Induction & Happy Feet Night - 18 May 2011

We met up at Li Hua Hotel. There was a record turnout of more than 50 people.

The party started with President KB Lau's welcoming speech, followed by the induction of the new members with a cake cutting ceremony. That cake looked yummy. But I did not get to taste it though; was much ado administrating the show and shooting videos.

The night was graced by James Chew, a founding member of our club.

Dinner was then served, followed by awards of pins for member-get-members.

David Ting brought to us "The X-Fitness" performers who put up a dazzling display of dance.

There were songs rendered by George Chew, Allen Kho and Christopher Chuo. Chris is our newly discovered singing talent. Now only does he had great looks and perfectly sculpted body, he possesses a great singing voice and showmanship.

Bibiana and Irene gave us a most romantic duet, while Kong Ngee, Jason, Yu Yee and a new member teamed up for a memorable number.

The night continued with more singing, great music and amazing dance routines by the X-Fitness girls, our members and guests.

Oh what a night it's been !

Cheers to President Peter KB Lau and the wonderful people of Sibu Toastmasters Club !

Credits to:
James Chew for the great photography.
David Ting for great entertainment by the X-Fitness Performers.
Peter KB Lau for organising this fellowship event.
And everyone who had made the night a most memorable one to remember and treasure for a long time to come.

  1. The slide show is a bit murky, wrong resolution. I think you should use the youtube .

  2. Now we see improvement. But the present style of slideshow is denying some photo corners disappearing. Perhaps the wiping style is more appropriate as the each picture will appear completely before the following photo appears.

  3. Good piece of job! When are we going to conduct a course to do short video clip like yours, George?

  4. It is not difficult to get the basics. But it takes quite a bit of trial and error to do it right. Perhaps we can include a tutorial course during one of our meetings if time allows.

  10. Is wonderful that "papa" James Chew is back. He should come back to mentor the new blood and at the same time polish his skills. Toastmasters never graduate lah.
